After 5 successful editions, IT4BI becomes BDMA!
The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree IT4BI has successfully welcomed five generations of students since its opening in September 2012. To better align with the new needs of research, education, and industry with respect to Big Data, the IT4BI consortium has been working on the follow-up of IT4BI.
We are pleased to announced that this follow-up programme will be funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme, and its new name is Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Programme in Big Data Management and Analytics (BDMA).
BDMA first intake will be 2017-2019, thus ensuring a transition from IT4BI to BDMA.

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree IT4BI has successfully welcomed
four generations of students since its opening in September 2012. On
September 2016, IT4BI will graduate its third generation and welcome its
fifth one.
IT4BI is funded for five editions by the European Commission, under the
Erasmus+ Programme. With the end of the funding period, and considering
the evolution of the field, the IT4BI consortium is working to the follow-up
of IT4BI. More information will follow very soon.
Students applying as self-funded (fee-paying) candidates can submit their applications until April 30th, 2016 or June 30th, 2016 depending on the nationality.

Congratulation to our 2nd generation of IT4BI student who won this year the “Prix Special du Jury” during the “Boost your Code 2015” competition (link in French). The French Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (INRIA) awarded him this prize for his work on an open source decision-aiding software tool, that he is developping for his ongoing master's thesis in ECP – PARIS.
