{"id":76,"date":"2012-01-24T11:20:46","date_gmt":"2012-01-24T10:20:46","guid":{"rendered":"\/?page_id=76"},"modified":"2014-10-31T10:12:25","modified_gmt":"2014-10-31T09:12:25","slug":"what-is-erasmus-mundus","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/it4bi.ulb.ac.be\/it4bi\/home\/general-information\/what-is-erasmus-mundus","title":{"rendered":"What is Erasmus+?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"ligne premiere_ligne\">\n<div class=\"colonne premiere_colonne derniere_colonne\" style=\"width: 99.9%;\">\n<div class=\"colonne_deco\">\n<div class=\"sansstyle\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1062\" src=\"\/it4bi\/medias\/images\/eu_flag-erasmus-_vect_pos1-300x85.jpg\" alt=\"eu_flag-erasmus+_vect_pos\" width=\"184\" height=\"59\" \/><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">The Erasmus+ Programme is built on the achievements of more than 25 years of European programmes in the fields of education, training and youth, covering both an intra-European as well as an international cooperation dimension.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">It renews and replaces seven programmes bringing together:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Lifelong Learning Programme (Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius and Grundtvig)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Youth in Action programme<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Five international cooperation programmes (Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, Alfa, Edulink, the programme for cooperation with industrialised countries)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">The new sport action<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Erasmus+ Programme is designed to support Programme Countries efforts to efficiently use the potential of Europe\u2019s human talent and social capital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Programme also enhances the opportunities for cooperation and mobility with Partner Countries, notably in the fields of higher education and youth.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">Inside Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMDs) continue the successful experiences resulting from Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses, and aim to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Foster quality enhancements, innovation, excellence and internationalisation in higher education institutions;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\"> Boost the attractiveness of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\"> Improve the level of competences and skills of Master graduates, and their employability.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">At the end of their two years of master courses, students are awarded a joint or multiple degree.<\/span><br \/>\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">Erasmus+ funds scholarships for students, as well as grants for academics or guest lecturers to teach or research in the Master degree programme.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">For more information about the Erasmus+ programme, in particular about eligibility conditions and scholarships, please refer to the <a href=\"\/it4bi\/medias\/pdfs\/erasmus-plus-programme-guide_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Erasmus+ Programme Guide<\/a>.<\/span><br \/>\nMore information about the Erasmus+ programme is available on the <a href=\"http:\/\/eacea.ec.europa.eu\/index_fr.php\/\" target=\"_blank\">website of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
