Interested candidates should consult the <a href=\"http:\/\/bdma.ulb.ac.be\">BDMA website<\/a>.\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\n\n\n<div class=\"style3\">\n\n\n<div class=\"style3_deco\">\n\n\n<h3>Eligibility Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"style3_contenu\">\nTo apply to IT4BI, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:\n&nbsp;\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n<li>They have been awarded a Bachelor&#39;s degree (i.e., the equivalent of 180 ECTS) with a major in computer science, from an accredited university. The university has to be listed in the World Higher Education Database <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whed.net\/home.php\" target=\"_blank\">(WHED<\/a>) or other Institutions of Higher Education, or be included in the following university rankings:\n\n\n<ul>\n\n\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timeshighereducation.co.uk\/world-university-rankings\/\">Times Higher<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.arwu.org\/\">Academic Ranking of World Universities<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.topuniversities.com\/university-rankings\/world-university-rankings\">QS World University Rankings<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\nPlease refer to the <a href=\"\/it4bi\/home\/learn-more-on-it4bi\/faq\">FAQ<\/a> for questions regarding Bachelor&#39;s degree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li>They must be able to demonstrate proficiency in English by means of an internationally recognised test equivalent to level B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The consortium will rely on how certification bodies evaluate their own equivalences against this framework, e.g., Cambridge General English FCE, IELTS (Academic) 5.5, TOEFL (paper based) 570, TOEFL (computer based) 230, TOEFL (internet based) 72, etc. Please refer to the <a href=\"\/it4bi\/home\/learn-more-on-it4bi\/faq\">FAQ<\/a> for questions regarding proof of proficiency in English.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li>For more detailed information about the IT4BI programme, eligibility criteria, and the complete application procedure please refer to the <span style=\"color:red;font-weight:bold\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cs.ulb.ac.be\/emundus\/images\/stories\/provided_documents\/it4bi_application_manual.pdf\" title=\"IT4BI Application Manual\">application manual<\/a><\/span>.<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"style3\">\n\n\n<div class=\"style3_deco\">\n\n\n<h3>Application Periods<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"style3_contenu\">\nThere are two application periods. Students applying for a scholarship must apply between September 11th, 2015 and December 11th, 2015. Those applying as self-funded students must apply between the 1st week of March 2016 and April 30th, 2016 or June 30th, 2016 depending on the nationality. Extra-curricular courses taken will be scored based on lecturing hours taking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li>Professional experience (10%): Points will be given by year of work on IT or BI position (regarding the position held and the topic).<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li>Cover letter (10%): Points will be assigned based on the following categories: organisation, sequencing, content, vocabulary and word choice, critical thinking, originality and creativity, accuracy of facts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li>Reference letters (10%): Points will be assigned based on the approval, comments and reputation of the referees, as testified by the reference letters and the referees&#39; H-factor.equal to the H-factor in the area of &ldquo;Engineering,&nbsp;Computer Science and Mathematics&rdquo; of the signatory of each letter (as obtained by PublishOrPerish&nbsp;application based on Google Scholar), divided by the H-factor of the country of his\/her current institution&nbsp;(as published in SJR - SCImago Journal and Country Rank).<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\nLanguage skills (10%): Points will be given proportional to the score of the provided certificate with&nbsp;regard to the maximum and minimum scores. \n&nbsp;\nA final ranked list of candidates, based on all obtained points, will thus be produced. A main list containing the top applications will be submitted to the European Commission for scholarship approval. A reserved list is also produced.\n<\/div>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"style3\">\n\n\n<div class=\"style3_deco\">\n\n\n<h3>Visa conditions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"style3_contenu\">\nTo apply for a visa as a <strong>self-funded student<\/strong>, you will need to have a financial guarantor. The guarantor must be able to prove that he has a monthly income that is sufficiently high for him to be able to pay you 604\u20ac\/month, while retaining 973\u20ac\/month for himself and 150\u20ac\/month for each dependent.
